'Mechanis Canaria' (detail)
'Mechanis Canaria' is a bronze sculpture
combining man-made, and animal parts.
The original was constructed using bits
from toys, plastic and a bird of prey skull.
A plaster mould was made of this 'model',
which allowed me to make a wax version.
The wax was 'invested' and I was then able
to make the final bronze sculpture. Finally
it has been 'chased' and 'patinated'.
